Hello,
I just received my new headlight that I bought off of Ebay. I want to check it before it goes back in the box and sits for another month until the time when my front end gets re-done. I am only familiar with hot and ground in terms of lighting. It has a RED and Yellow wire, can I connect it to my truck battery? Or is the wiring different than hot & ground?
I believe the headlight unit itself is the ground, and one wire is hi-beam, and one wire is low-beam. I don't remember which color is which, but you should be able to easily test it. Just attach a ground wire to the headlight mount, and then alternate power to either wire to see which one is brighter.
