Oil Issue
I have a 2000 sportster 883 custom, just recently bought it and rode it around for the first time today for awhile (finally a nice day out) and noticed the oil was spilling out of the cap and down the oil reservoir, also the color of it was white/cream colored... doesn't smell like its mixed with gas though
could it just be too full?

Sounds like somebody checked the oil, thought it was low and added...then started the engine, and the oil that was down in the crankcase returned to the already full tank...
The milky color is from condensation, common during the winter, especially if you run the engine for short periods. It is better not to start the engine unless you are going to ride.

Another reason for the milky stuff is the brand of oil in there, as different brands use different types of additives. The oil cools quickly when it returns to the separate oil tank and traps condensation. If that persists use a different brand of oil, it may go away.
