I use them.......The regular plugs that came in the bike new lasted about 6500 miles and then got a sudden miss. I replaced with the same and had same results. I replaced those with the platinums. I ran that set for 30k miles and didn't change them till I put in new cams and a DFO and wanted to monitor my plug color. The current platinums now have 12k and are still running fine.
When I put a PCIII on my '05 Ultra, with the EXACT Dynojet map, it would turn over a half a dozen times before finally kicking in.
Then I changed to SE triple platinum plugs - HOLY BUCKWHEAT!!!!!!!!
I touch the stater button for a MILLISECOND literally, boiling hot or ice cold, and she fires right up instantaneously- UFB.
Had these plugs for over 5,000 miles - NO ISSUES - NO CODES -NO PINGING - absolutely satisfied 100%-never let me down.
Well worth the extra couple bucks for these plugs IMHO. Anybody else using them???????????
I use the SE Platinums on my Ultra, and I'll continue to use them. Best plugs I've used so far, and I've tried several kinds so far. Over 20k on them now with no problems. Try them, they are bulletproof.
I use SE platinum plugs in the WINTER ONLY! Platinums are great for quick starts and cold weather operation, but when it gets hot outside, the platnum plugs retain heat and will cause pre-ignition (engine ping). Swap them back and forth spring and fall.
