Problem Starting (Video)
Hey All,
I have searched but was unable to find any threads with this particular issue.
I have an 09 Cross Bones for about 7 months now. Occasionally the bike will have difficulty starting. I figured a video would be best rather than me trying to describe the sound. The video is on the ignition coil because yesterday when I did it, the coil let off a little bit of smoke. No puff today, so I am not sure if that is a result of my issue or a symptom. It took about 11 clean starts before the issue happened again.
I am fairly good with my hands and would like to try and resolve the problem myself rather then drop money at the dealership.
Any thoughts on what my problem is here? Its done it in when wet, dry, cold and hot. So I am not sure the environment is playing a part. It will do it on the first start of the day or when filling up mid ride. I can't predict it. Checked the battery and the charge is fine.
