Error Code P1357-What caused it.
Instead of going with my first instinct, I tried a bunch of other fixes. Swapped out spark plugs, plug wires, coil (all from friends bike) These did not help. Also replaced Crank Position Sensor, since mine was the original. No dice. Finally, removed the 10 screws off the fuel tank canopy. As soon as I lifted it up..Bingo! I saw that the fuel regulator was halfway out of the plastic housing it sits in. Further looking showed that one of the tabs that holds this housing in the canopy had cracked off. This caused the weight/tension of the hose going to the check valve to pull the regulator partly out of the housing. So I was not getting proper fuel pressure. The plastic housing was $17. Replaced the screws also for a total of about $35 in parts. Easy fix once I knew the problem. Just and FYI if you get a similar situation.
