Yesterday I Changed the oils on my 06 road king classic, I pulled the plugs just to have a look and the front plug looked good but the rear plug was white as can be. The only thing I have done was to put screamin eagle slip ons on it. It's an injected bike by the way. 10,000 miles. I'm wondering if running that lean on the rear cylinder is going to hurt anything, or should I do something about it? Thanks , Stafford

Air cooled V-twins can run hotter in the rear cylinde b/c the rear does not get the direct cooling affect from the wind hitting the fins like the front one does. However, the SERT or PCIII can be tuned to accomadate each cylinder individually which should solve the problem. I don't think the DFO/TFI can tune the cylinders individually.

HEY GUY!! I'm going to just change my engine oil to Mobil 1 20w 50w for V twin's, I only have 2000 mile's on bike but 06 scremin eagle 103 FAT BOY, so I live in TEXAS and heat is on the way, it really get's hot here!! But going to let Dealer do other two later on, I'M just trying to put the best oil I can in for hot weather so just thought I would ask you about anything that I need to do, yes I have read manuel not to sound dumb but have been letting dealer handle and trying to save a buck or two and use better synthtic, THANK YOU PURPLE HAZE.

Purple haze I put that mobile-1 v-twin 20/50 in my crankase and it actually quietened her down a little bit. I put the mobile one 75/140 in the transmission and the harley stuff in the primary. It's an easy job , you'll need to go to the dealer or some place and get the 10,000 mile service gasket kit, it and the oil filter was about 30 bucks. Oh and the tranny is quieter too. probably cost about 60 or 70 dollars to do it altogether. good luck Stafford

HEY GUY!! I went to Lone Star Harley today and bought oil filter wrench, the good one not that strap chit!! and a set of scremin eagle triple platinum plug's, and also the o-ring that well not break since I bought one, and there High DOLLAR snythitic oil filter that is suppose to get all crud from oil, also I just bought my new license plate renewal but watched a movie that is called DAZED AND CONFUSED should be my life history, but got a Idea for personal plate so sit at the D.M.V. for hour just to get the form to mail $40.00 to AUSTIN, the same city movie was filmed in, and did good deed by going to the MISSION where people who are down and out go to and took clothe's, shoe's, just stuff someone could use, but will probably do the job on weekend, I have heard a lot of people like the MOBIL 1 for V TWIN'S, they say run's cooler and smoother, also sell's guy tryed to get me to buy 07 110 ROAD KING, it was a very nice bike and color was RED!!! but they only wanted $30,595.00 m.s.r.p. so after tax ,title ,drive off, then pipe's ,down load, DYNO, maybe $40,000.00 I had to get out Quick!! but thank's for help and I will chat at you later.
