Starting issues w/ security system
I have a 2000 Screamin Eagle Road Gide that I ust changed the battery in and checked the battery in the key fob (key fob was good). Now when i try to start the bike, the alarm goes off and I can't start the bike. The local dealership told me I have to bring it in to fix it. Is there a fix that I can do at home w/out having to bring it into a dealership?

Do you have the 5 digit pin code to enter using the turn signals to disable the alarm? That will allow you to start your bike, but if your fobs are not working then at some point you'll have to take it in and get the dealership to mate new fobs. I think a fob runs about $40, and then I'm sure there'll be some labor costs. If you don't have the 5 digit code, they'll have to replace the $350 alarm module + labor. The dealer you got your bike from may have your code if you don't know it.
