2006 Heritage
I've had the tuner on for awhile now and got the bike Dyno'd at what appeared to be peak according to the tech. I still had a bit of popping on decel but was told this was due to the limited or non existent restriction in my exhaust.
I took a thousand mile ride a week ago and it appears the popping got a little worse. More of a rumble on decel than actual pops. The weather is warming up.
I averaged 48 mpg on this trip.
I took a long ride today and checked the plugs when I got home. Both appear to be the same. Kind of a grey/tan with a slight bit of white.
The dealer said I should bring it in for a bit of tweaking, but with that mileage and coloration on the plugs I am not sure.
Should I expect to have a bit of popping with my set up?? or should I have it tweaked?? opinions please.
I have an 06 Heritage as well and it sounds like you have it really close. I had some decel pop as well.........and still have one now and then, but in checking my plugs, I reset the gap to 40 ( you know what I mean, I dont do decemel well, lol ) and the pop was greatly greatly reduced. I also run the HD gold plug....just works better in my bike.
You might try the gap thing with your plugs, may not help at all, just worked in mine.
Good Luck
