Hi guys. I have a CD for the SERT, but it only has maps for the TC88. I'm fixin to put SE255's in my 07, and would like to use the existing SERT that I already have, as I'm running a pretty tight budget.

When I bought my bike, it came with the SERT, but no software, etc. I bought a used SERT off eBay a while back, just to get the cables, CD, etc. So, here I am, just installed the software to my computer, and have no maps that I can use. I'll be running basically a stock 96", with SE 255's when I'm done.

I'm not here to receive a dozen replies telling me why I should use a different tuner, cams, etc. I don't wanna sound ungrateful, because I'm not, but this setup is what I have to work with, and going with something else isn't an option.

The SERT that I bought off eBay for the disc is PN 32107-01E, which is a pretty old setup. I kinda thought it would be updateable, but alas, I was mistaken.

Worse comes to worse at the very least if you have the cables and you put the bike on a dyno they will be able to set it up for you better than a canned map.

 

I can't put it on a dyno. A canned map is what I need at the moment. Later on, when I work the top end, she'll get a dyno treatment. If a dyno were possible at the moment, I'd just order up a PC3 or PC5, and rock on. I hafta use what I have.

I was wondering what you were going to do with that post "Ultranutz" when I went digging for a map all I could find is 255's with a 103 top end.

UltraNutz, thanks for your help. I sent ya another PM. I bought a Serial to USB adapter, but I keep getting a "COM Port Not Open" error. Sheesh, it's always somethin.

 

what you're going to need to do bud is plug the VCI into the USB adapter and the USB adapter into the computer. Let it find it's drivers. Then go look at the properties (device manager) of the USB device and see what com port the system assigned to it. Then go into the SE software and set that com port as the communications port.
