Hi all, I bought my 07 softail last june and it already had a stage 1 on it. Python staggerd and an open oem air cleaner with just the shroud removed and the football cover back on. Now sincw then it got a PC5 from jamie at fuel moto. My question is im looking at either a s&s tuned induction or screamin eagle hb. Will a dyno tune be needed with either intake since its basically a stage 1 already or is it not that big of a difference to worry?
Thanks for any feedback.
You have the PC5, look at available downloads to see what builds are available for your year with Stage 1 Download.
I purchased an '03 new and had the stage1 download then later added the PC3 and installed the program. Bike ran better and cooler with less ping. I made several mods over the last 12 years, some deviated from similar builds and required dyno time to tweek. I am now back to a Stage 4 95" using a similar build to a downloadable map.
Lesson Learned, as long as your build stays close to builds with available maps from the Power Commander website, it is always easier to donload and go than to schedule and pay a Dyno tech.
+1 for the downloads. The SE 50mm TB will have bigger injectors. Love that bike color! FWIW I will be listing my SE 50mm TB in about a month. Practically brand new.
I was just curious cause when I ordered the pc5 I told jamie the mods that were done he mapped it accordingly. I just wasnt sure how much more air id be taking in going from on opened up factory cleaner to the bigger boys lol.
