On page 5-22 of the PV1 log tuning brochure it states to set the max temp to 288*.....that would be the max temp, above that there will be NO tuning..my 07 ultra spends MOST of its time above those temps(hwy runs about 305*)
CAn I UP that temp so it tunes above those temps?
Like maybe 325*?
No oil cooler, got the bike early last year with SE pipes and K&N AF......12k miles.......got 25k on it with FULSAC duals, 1 3/4" fishtails with baffles, K&N AF.... and its always been hot, just didn't know how much till I got the PV........is mine absurdly hot?
Seriosly considering oil cooler and FCS cooling fan$$

Make sure you are monitoring the Engine Temp (ET) channel on the PV, not Head Temp. The head temp channel reports significantly higher as this channel is modeled by by the ECM.
running a jagg 10 row oil cooler on my stage IV 107 with mobil 1 vtwin oil and today it was 85 degrees with 60 percent humidity and engine runs 235-240 degrees and head temp was 285-290 on the screen of my power vision. at highway speeds, the engine runs cooler than that on cooler days. you might want to think of installing one! I just helped a friend install those wards cooling fan setup. that blows air through the tops of the cylinders. and on his 50 mile ride home at highways speeds the engine was running 250-255 temp. he is also running a 107, Imho the oil cooler does a better job at cooling. especially one with a fan assist.
