Jeremy Lusk, an X-Games freestyle motocross standout, died today of injuries suffered from a wreck on Saturday in Costa Rica. Lusk was trying to hit a trick known as a Hart Attack back flip. He failed to rotate completely, and landed on his face. He had the same wreck in the X-Games in 2007, but was uninjured that time.
Lusk won a gold medal in the 2008 X-Games in freestyle, and a silver for best trick. He resided in Temecula, CA, and grew up in San Diego. He was 24, and leaves a widow, Lauren.
