I just purchased a 79' Roadster and want to know if the forward shifter and brake system will work on it if they are labeled for the same year Sportster? Thanx.

 

Yes.

The roadster is a Sportster with 2" extended forks, and special tank, seat, sissy bar, paint, perhaps a few other minor items. Frame, engine etc are all the same.
