I have a 1975 xlch and I’m trying to trace and figure out why my front headlight is not coming on, I have tail light and brake light working . Does anyone know where the fuses are located?

No fuses on that bike as originally configured, it had circuit breakers.
If the wiring is still stock configuration, the headlight and tail light are powered by the same circuit.
The wire connections for the tail light and headlight are connected to the same post on the lighting circuit breaker (item 32 in the diagram).
Somewhere between that point and the headlight connector is the problem, make sure there is a proper ground for the headlight.

Inside the headlight shell through that rat's nest of wires is a spade connector in the housing. THAT is the electrical ground for the headlight. It connects to the right side of the top triple tree. If it's broken off, can you say By By Headlight.
