Hello Iron Heads. What sealed battery are you guys running in your bikes. I currently have a Duracell that I have to add water to and would like a solid gel or AGM that fits. Thanks.
77 XLH, running with an AMG battery for a Dyna/Softail. 310cca and considerably smaller and lighter.
That battery works is what I use also...modified battery box that I am Working on just for the "SuperGlide Battery" tho, I use the YTX20HL-BS
the "L" for left hand terminal (I believe for some Evo Sportsters, and all Softails).. No "L" is for Shovel Superglides and All FXR's...oh, And Mid to Late '90's Sportsters. No Way I am Ever Buying another of them Useless Big Ugly Batteries!!
Edit; There is a '77 XLCH here that has had e-start installed (won't do that again) with the Idea to run a Lithium, or whatever, Battery hoping it is stout enough to Start it...
Its a kick only bike. Titled as a 57 but its in a 60s frame I think.
You have a "horseshoe" or "lunch box" oil tank? Either way, it will be a small battery and DEKA is a great one. I'd start by getting some dimensions and terminal locations off the old battery and then give East Penn (DEKA) a call.
