Default jet needles

Is there a difference between the idle jet tube "A" needle and the "B" needle in a Bendix carb. Pics would make my day!

I'll have a look for you tomorrow if I can remember it. Have one in the shed.

Nah, not sure what you mean by needle A and B? If you have the adjustable main jet, then I can't help as my carby is before that.

Thanks Mervk, it's the jet that runs down into the main jet. It will have an "A" or "B" stamped onto the head of it. Some later carbs had a fixed jet there with no head.

Ron, mine has a C stamped on the head. Second carby is fixed. Does C help you at all? I would imagine that the difference would be in the id, increasing or decreasing the amount of fuel delivered on full throttle . Somewhere I seldom get, so either would probably work for me. Let me know if you need info on the type C. Cheers .

Thanks Mervk, I was thinking that it was more the holes drilled and size of them that was the difference. I have an "A" which has two holes near the bottom and one at the top .

Chatgpt tells me difference is the size and placement of holes with A being the richest, B medium and C leanest. For what it's worth.
