Screamin Eagle Carburetor
I posted a while back regarding a Keihin BD Screamin Eagle carb that has beenretrofit to a 70 XLCH I purchased.
Here's my question: does anyone have any information on this carb, or can you direct me to a site that has specs and or parts ( jets, rebuild kit, etc.)for this carb? I have found very little info on this carb at this point.
After installing baffles in my drag pipes, I like the way it performs overall. I recentlyfound a brand new one on Ebay and purchased it. Same exact carb, but thisone hasnever beeninstalled. I believe they were manufactured in the late 70's -early 80's for the 883,1200,and the 1340 HD motors. The old one on my bike is getting worn out a bit ( cracked inlet elbow, choke won't stay up, and some screw heads are stripped.)This new onewould retrofit easily w/my current air cleaner, mounts, brackets and cables. I have considered retro-ing a CV to this bike, and I have one w/ most of the parts to do it with,plus there seems to be a lotmore info available on the CV and retrofitting them to an Ironhead. Even so, I would prefer to continueusing theScreamin Eagle carb.
Any help or direction on this obsolete non CV Keihin Screamin Eagle carb would be greatly appreciated.

That carb is a tough one to find any info on. I think they were originally used on motocross bikes and some snowmobiles. Check out WWW.KEIHIN-US.COM/LIST.HTML

Thanks. That site confirms what informationI have found prior to this post. I found an indepedant shop in Albuquerque that has jets, and is willing to help me tune it when I get her installed.
