Default Attention "powdercoater"

I have just done my own powder coating on the frame, swingarm, and a few other componants on my '77 Ironhead. It turned out great and with more experience I should be able to elliminate the little bit of "orange peel" that I get on the smooth surfaces. I had the cylinders replaced because of the wear and I want to match the new paint on those with something to put on my sandblasted heads.

1. Do I need to worry about having a heat resistant powder or will the cylinders and heads stay cool enough to use any color available?

2. In using Eastwoods basic gun (http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/p...ProductID=5572),I've noticed more of a cloud than a spray which is pretty much what I expected from reading up on it before I got it. Will it be possible to get in between the fins?

Thanks
Rich

(will cross post this in the shovelhead section)

im a powdercoater along with other things, most of the orange peel can be eliminated by bringing the part down to room tempature gradualy, turn your oven off then after a while just crack the door. as far as eastwoods powders there not as good as some others, try columbia coatings, thats who harley gets there black wrinkle for there new motors from.
