Coil

Bought a new custom chrome digital tach for the bike.&nbsp\\; Is the negative side of the coil the lead coming from the points?&nbsp\\; I think it is but I want to make sure.

anyone want to take a stab at this at all? I would test it myself but I dont want to blow my multimeter. I'm not sure how much voltagae are going across those leads.......oh yah and my bikes electrical isnt working righ now anyways.

heres an electrical drawing I found but it shows a distributor and Im not sure if its the same with the points.

points side is neg......other side goes to the ignition/battery and should be positive

shouldn't that bike be on the road by now?

Really close. I had taken it for a quick spin the other day and then it died.&nbsp\\; Lights and everything just cut out.&nbsp\\; Found that the battery feed wire from the solenoid to the relay had been torn by the tire.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;
