i meant to post that.-----it was done with open throttle this time. front was 127 and rear was right at 150(forgot exactly)----------i was trying to research to see what it is suppose to be but havent found it.i will do it again tomorrow.i have been running rich for awhile and i can only guess that i have alot of carbon build up??? or maybe my compression tester is not accurate.i was surprised to see the 150.i comp tested awhile back and they were both at 130.either way using the same comp tester it went from 60 to 150.
Glad to hear you found the problem, and it is not going to cost you anything but some time.
Everyone needs to take a lesson here........ push rod adjustment is very important!
Most of us do not check it ofter enough. We just ride and ride and ride.
If you have 127 and 150 straydog, do not worry about it anymore. You are good to go with those numbers............ pg
ok i found the problem.when i did the air test my mind was set on head gasket leak so i guess that is why i did not pay close attention to the pushrods.i woke up last nite wanting to go out with a flashlite checking them......anyway i checked them this evening and one was really off.it had almost 1/2 inch freeplay at the most....guessing 1/8th when up...
It would be a very good idea to try to determne why the pr was out of adjustment. Good plan to check them regularly. Keep us informed as you go along.
i guess i just did not tighten it up eneough the first time.i made sure not to over tighten this time as well but iwill keep an eye on them.beleive me i am very happy.thanks everyone.----live and learn as they say.
