80 xls
Just wanted to post up a couple of pictures of the old ironhead. I am the third owner and it came from SouthEast Harley here in Ohio. All original except for the air cleaner and exhaust. Also it has this vintage license plate holder alarm that runs on a 9 volt battery with mercury switches, when you right the bike the mercury floats and sets off the alarm kind of neat.

Thanks man I got it from the wifes cousin. It sat in the garage for years and he said it was a basket case. New tires, new brakes, new intake gaskets, rebuilt the carb, everything rubber was dry rotted and replaced. He had someone tune the motor and the pushrods were not adjusted properly the exhaust valves were opening way to early and it ran like crap. I adjusted the pusrods, timed the motor and tuned it. I had it dynoed and it is developing 41.6 horsepower at the rear wheel. Rolling Thunder did the dyno and he was impressed and complimented me on the tune job. It took a lot of work to get it back into good running order. Most people do not know how to tune these bikes. I run the snot out of it and it is quick. Thanks again.
