Was looking for some parts for my 75 the other day in a catalog and saw that some things were listed for "early" 75 and others for "late" 75 models. How do I know if I have an early or late 75?
I've searched the internet, several forums, the factory service manual, and the factory parts manual and am coming up dry on this one.
It might go by the "belly numbers" or crankcase numberes. These are on the bottom of the cases, near the front - should be the same for both sides. You may have to clean up to see them. They look something like this: 780-108-001. If you google Harley Case Numbers or Harley Belly Numbers you may get more info.
It does this for 1980 to distinguish between early and late.
