Default Almost There

Getting there now with my 77 XLCR 1000. Frame back from powder coat and new forks are here. Engine almost finished and seat looks great. Still need to find OEM mufflers though. Anyone got any laying around hit me up. Found a few aftermarket that are close but not quite it. Will post pics when finished. My son is doing the rebuild on the engine and all will be great.Kid knows his stuff for being self taught.

For original XLCR exhaust check with Sporty Specialties and NOSParts. Get the correct part number from the HD parts catalog. Use that number in Google searches, eBay, etc. Keep looking - it may take quite some time to find one. Then do not bid until the last 1,1/2 minutes, and bid to win.

If you are restoring bike be sure if it's California model or 48-state model, they have different mufflers. Checkout my garage if old mufllers are same..then they are 48 state model.
California models has "fat" mufflers (larger diameter) witch are "quiet" well at least on paper.
