engine casing 77 sportster1000

Does anyone know of an engine casing, in good shape, for a '77 sportster 1000. Fifty miles in any direction from Atlanta would be wonderful..but all offers could be considered. After all this time waiting for a rebuild of the engine to go with the rebuilt trans, Ive learned that there are cracks all through the case from the gears busting. This bike has a big heart and deserves to ride again even better than before...Can you help? Thanks..respectfully Ladyhawke

Don't know of one myself but Mike from Mike's Cycle Shop is an indi and sees quite a lot of stuff and may know of one or be able to send you in a more specific direction. He's located in McDonough in Henry County. http://www.mikescycleshop.com/

I hate to hear about the cases, sounds like my kind of luck! I just picked up a '77 and live north of Atlanta a bit.

I'll keep an eye out for ya if something comes up locally.

have 77 cases will sell for 200 dollars has weld top of trans and starter area proffesionally welded would post pics but dont know how am in indiana can ship send e-mail adress 4 pics this is on the up and up
