63 xlch ??
I picked up a 63 XLCH in a rigid frame. What year stock frames will this motor fit?
The oil pump body is stripped or ground down at the sending unit end. Anyway it trash.
What year oil pumps will fit this 63 XLCH?On ebay some adds say 52-72, but I see other places there is a difference around 66? Can anyone clue me in.

Frames might be a little more difficult because many have been modified over the years for specific alterations but '57-76' is the period to look in.
The parts catalog 99451-78B lists ...
26203-52E as 54 to 66 for XL, XLH, XLCH, and for 67 to 69 XLCH
26204-67A as 67 to 76 XLH and 70 to 76 XLCH
So it is ambiguous.
You need to confirm if you have XL, XLH or XLCH. The engine VIN begins with ...
3A XL or XLH
4A XLCH
You need to get the parts catalog; and the service manual 99484-78.
I had not noticed this before, but the parts catalog does not list frames prior to 1973.
