I have been planning a new build, well me first project and I keep flipping back and fourth from a chopper or a bobber. I know I want a minimalist look, no frills or uneeded components on either the chop or the bobber.
I know that fat tire chopper look was/is way over done and personally I am not one for that big rear tire look myself anyway, but to each their own.
For sake of discussion, what style do you like and why?
I picked up my first bike back in Feb, prior to that I was constantly looking at different styles. Choppers are cool, but to me something just catches my eye about a bobber. It looks mean and clean. Reminds me of a 31 model a coupe for some reason, ratting it out. haha I'll have pics for you guys soon of my 75 xlch bobber.
I like the bobber look when comparing the two. My favorite modded sportys though are the hybrid bobber / cafe racer style with the clip on handlebars and raised suspensions, but with minimal tins.
But all in all I think they look best in their stock trim. I know its not original or new but they just look so clean and classic.
Bobber all the way. Choppers look cool but from what I hear they are not a very practical ride and steer terrible. I have two chopper projects and from just rolling them around the shop, I could see where they would get old fast.
Bobbers are cool and bad ***. I think you will get more enjoyment out of a bobber.
I agree, at first I was like Chopper all the way!
Now, after more research and looking at what others have done, I find the Bobs are appealing more and more to me. Don't get me wrong chops are amazing bikes but I think for my first project build is going more towards the bobber look. My mind may change 20 more times though...we shall see.
