Finally got it - an almost completely original 1977 XLT - with less than 3,000 miles on the clock. Runs great and will make an awesome winter bobber project.

Default welcome to the club

I've been working on a '77 xlt also, is that the orig seat? I think it had 2 into 1 pipes though. The rear turns would have been mounted on the fender to accommodate the hard bags. Correct tank.

Good eye Naildriver, the pipes are not original and the rear signal lights - and front signal lights appear to have been moved to non-original locations. That is the original seat and the serial number identifies it as a XLT. Pretty rare beasts as only 1099 were built in only one year - 1977. Are you planning on a full restoration back to original or do you have something else in mimd? Got any pics to share?
