The price of the Livewire here in Straya will be too much I had banked on it being around 44k in our monopoly money and I was pissed but good there to buy one. It will be $49,990 AUD so yea I'm out.
It sux because when I had the shop I would buy USD's when we went above the 70 cent mark and as it rose I'd buy exponentially just before we had a correction or something and we went back to less than 70. That few thousand dollars if a kid was thinking of buying a 2nd hand Sporty or something was short I'd say hey , I'll loan you the $ just pay me back when you can , I looked at it as free money anyways.99% of the time they did and if they couldn't their folks would.I stopped buyin USD's when I sold the business so yea I'm fked.
I'm out.
Eh, don't give up. Someone will get tired of one and sell their 2 or 3 year old bike with 182 miles on the clock for 25% off.... Gives you time to save up a bit more too!

Just be patient. It isn't like the LW is going anywhere soon, in fact, the lineup will expand. In the meantime keep your eyes open for a 2020 on the used market. It may be a bit dangerous to admit this but after 50 years of riding I bought my very first ever new bike in 2017, my 2018 Ultra Limited. I have a collection of bike magazines going way back that I would collect and read trying to pick out a future ride. To me the best choice in a used bike was a great choice as a new bike that someone else broke in and depreciated for me. I don't know what came over me in Dec 2017 to buy that new 2018...temporary insanity I suppose!

I saw the customer first new bike thing no idea how many times and man it feels great to see them ride off, but if it's their first HD they usually ride really loud, buy all the bullshit and try to look badass, I take time out at their first service or when I see them next say "hey riding loud like that has newb all over it". They usually thank me when the badassness settles a little , It's a process right.
I might buy the Aussie made Savic as my first e-bike I know Dennis and it looks like I might end up being the test rider , I know all/most our ADR's too, so maybe semi retired being paid to ride the new Aussie performance E-bikes could be sweet. https://savicmotorcycles.com/ I fkin love the comic book robot look of this thing man , an E-bike version of Robbie the Robot sort of..
THX and cheers man.Get your *** over here we'll ride, any of you guys are welcome.
Look into a Zero instead, more bike for less money. If I was going to buy an E-ride it'd be a Zero model of some sort, LiveWire is a lipsticked up pig by comparison.
