LiveWire's Finally Showing What They Should Have Been Building All Along
This is shocking (pun intended). Seems like the LiveWire folks may have pulled their heads out of each other's asses long enough to make a reasonable decision, and they're finally building something that makes actual sense: the Honcho line.
It's an electric motorcycle that has an actual use case: it's basically an electric Honda CT90. Honda sold billions of those back in the day. Maybe a quiet, smoke-free trail bike is just the thing people didn't know they needed? It even has small swappable batteries, so you can keep one charging while you're using the other one.
And watch the advertising -- it's crazy. It shows actual real normal people, not just soy boys and green-hairs, doing actual real outdoor things: fishing, hunting, trail riding:
It's revolutionary marketing for LiveWire. Selling a bike that real people may want to buy, that has real benefits over the alternatives, and showing real people enjoying it. By jove, this might work! But then again LiveWire's been on a 1-year leash and I think that year's about over so it's possible that this may be as far as the Honcho experiment goes.
But they say it's coming in 2026.
