With the SE heavy breather, TAB slipons, and FP3 auto tune mine has been running between 249 and 286. These were the readings I was receiving from the FP3 sensor data.

250C is 482F. Oil breaks down LONG before that, even synthetics.

Should have been 250F is what I meant

My prediction is Steve Cole is going to find oil temps north of 250F in the "oil cooled" M8s.

Yes we did and it was about 10 - 15 deg. cooler ambient than the previous test conditions. Supposed to warm back up this next week, so another test once it warms back up into the mid to upper 70's again.

Steve owns TTS and was the developer of original SE pro tuner.

so anyone running the new M8 motor and have a tuner where they can monitor the sensors. What engine temps are you seeing? i am still a little worried about the constant 310-338 range along with 350 heat temp readings.

the one thing that makes me feel a little safer is that the oil temp only gets to about 220F

Chad, this is Craig by the way.
And before everyone starts blaming the tune, I know that is good. Chad can vouch for that.

Unbelievable that these "new" bikes are STILL HAVING HEAT issues!!
What happened to the wet head?
Truth is ever since they came out with the wet head they should have made all newer bikes with both heads on the wet head design.

Normal Engine temp is around 250. Normal head temp is around 260-270. Normal coolant temp on a twin cooled bike is around 170.

But after any type of load or hard running, the engine temps can easily rise to 300. Head temps to 320-330 (and higher) and coolant temp to 220.

Are these new heat issues or is it just higher temps than we are used to seeing because of the ET sensor location? Take a look at Sportster temperatures, they read quit a bit higher than TC's. With the new location of the sensor in the M8's we are bound to get different readings.
