I went from stage 1 with full Rinehart 4.5" system to stage 2 with HD's torque cam. It didn't get noticeably louder (maybe a smidge), but definitely lumpier at idle. Still smooth cruising.

17 RG stage 1 Fuel Moto Jackpot slip on mufflers, stock head pipe. It was almost too quiet, did a Red Shift 468 and the perfect tune from FM (Powervision) it’s considerably louder but perfect for what I want. Runs great.
Here is 2 clips of my bike with 2 different exhaust setups, both with the same cam though, S+S 475. As others have said, the cam is where it's at if you want some sound!

Know it is not the same, but some .02 -- I have a 2020 with stage 3, SE air cleaner and stock exhaust. Bike is just a little louder than stock, but no where near as loud as my old bike with Street Canons. Really enjoy the highway and being able to crank some tunes. I'm sure I left some HP and TQ on the table with running the stock slip ons, but it was still a noticeable improvement and I'm glad I did it. It pulls much better than stock when rolling from 2k to 4.5k out on the road. Also enjoy having zero worries regarding the warranty and the extended service plan. YMMV...
