Nice bike. A buddy bought the same one today. Love the dark red two tone. Very sharp looking.

Next year the M8 will likely be in the Dyna's so that might a consideration as well.

Test ride the M8's and you'll have your answer. Me? I'd tell you skip the test ride and just buy the 2017. It is that much better!

M8's are very sweet bikes out of the box. Not much to do if anything and you will be smiling everytime you ride it.

I've been on my M8 RK today, solo and two up. My face hurts from smiling.

I suggest you keep your dyna and get a '12 or newer batwing...while the M8 maybe the new kid on the block, doesn't mean your not gonna get enjoyment out of a slightly older bike.

I still have my '08 road glide and every time I ride it, it begs to be ridden some more...I have no need or want of an M8....however, to each there own...only you will know what will make you happy.

Default 2017 = Fun

I've been riding Harleys of all types since 1974. The 2017 M8 is by far the best I've ever owned. Puts the FUN back into riding.

Depends on your riding wants/needs...do you take long trips and can commit to single bike, or do you like option of having short + long tripper?? I'm a two bike kinda owner and like the added flexibility of choosing which bike to take, depending on the trip. Now, if you can afford it w/HD's current EOY financing, keep the Dyna & get the M8.

Truth be told, I was sold right away but it was more between the SGS or RGS that took that long. The only reason I went back to the dealer that soon is because the gas light came on and I wasn't putting gas in a dealership bike.

I bought a '12 Limited and was going to sell my '03 Heritage. I couldn't do it... two totally different bikes and riding experiences.....

The '03 cost little to insure, and so I kept them both. I wasn't sure if it was a smart move....

Four years later... I'm glad I kept both bikes. I actually ride both quite frequently. Obviously the Limited on long, multi-day rides, and the Heritage around town/day trips.

I'm really impressed with the M8 and want one..... I'm gonna keep both current bikes and get an M8 Limited in spring 2018... I'll convert the '12 Limited to a "street glide" style bike, and will have to see if I will ride 3 bikes enough to keep them all...... I'm willing to try it out. As my uncle once told me.... "You can never have too many Harleys."

My advice:

If you only need one bike..... get the M8.

If you want two bikes, get the '12 Limited and keep the Dyna....

If you can wait a little, keep the dyna and get an M8 when you can afford it..!!!

Good dilemma to have.... good luck with your decision..
