Hearing a "chirp" noise from left side derby cover area upon deceleration with clutch engaged. Does not sound violent or horrible. I had assumed it was the new (to me) clutch design. Does anyone else hear a chirp from this area upon decel? Anything I should worry about?

Yeah I get the same thing on a 17 RK on the decel occasionally, believe I'm hearing the primary chain singing, damned auto adjuster sounds tight. Already checked the belt on mine.
Not the belt, listened again today, can the compensator make a noise on medium to hard throttle roll off ?
That or the chain chirping, I know the noise your talking about, not consistent just occasional and it bugs hell outa me. They will be into the primary when I take mine in for service, isn't right whatever it is.
I will check belt tension again. Makes sense and the sound dos sound more rUbber than metal.
Check your transmission fluid level and your primary level. The clutch is design to slip some on a hard decel so pay attention to when it does it and let us know.
I mean just for the hell of it, spray some WD-40 on the front engine stabilizer Link.
Mine squeaked like hell when getting on or off of it (throttle).
I will give this a shot, primary and tranny fluids are good. I really don't want the dealer cracking open the primary just to tell me it's the S&A clutch noise and is normal but I may take it in before summer long distance season hits. My concern is it's something that could cause a high speed rear tire lock up. I ride this scoot everyday to work at 70-80 on the hiway and a lockupmeven would be less than enjoyable😄

Not hearing that kinda noise so I'd venture your good to go there.
