So I went to the dealer today I am approved for the loan, the only thing I have to do now is sell my dyna so question for everyone here who has the street glide with the 107 and how are you liking it so far? I was going to get a used one but I decided that i've always wanted a street glide so I am going to buy it to keep so I might as well go brand new
I dont have a SG but have the M8 in a RGU, all I can say is after I rode the M8 as compered to the 2016 my mind was made up. Now a little over 3K miles into the M8 and I am reminded each time I ride it that the M8 is superior to the TC. No knock at all on the 2016 TC it is a fine bike but the M8 is power is better
I have nothing bad to say about my SGS. As many have already said in these forums, the m8 pulls strong but also the suspension upgrades on the '17 are a big improvement IMHO
before buying my SGS I did compare against the 16s. They were offering some great deals on them but at the end, I went with the better overall bike. Already did tons of mods to it (see "winter mods done" post) and am loving every minute of it. You won't be disappointed. I'd say get the m8 if you can afford it. If on a tight budget, you still can't go wrong with the 16.
M8 is the way to go, no doubt about it. IMHO, the best stock bike HD has ever produced. Bought my wife a SGS in Hard Candy Hot Rod Red and I bought a CVO SG. We are just coming out of winter up here in Canada and I already have 400 miles on my scoot, trying to break it in before the real riding season is upon us. The hardest part of owning an M8 is keeping the revs below 2500 rpm during break-in, argh. I've never owned a stock bike that wants to pull off the line like my CVO SG. This is my third HD CVO and by far the best. The other thing is be prepared to eat a lot of bugs due to the permagrin that you can't wipe off your face while riding. Here is a pic of our two scoots all shined up and ready to go for a ride. If I were you I would definitely pull the trigger on a M8.
