Sadly the Moco has indeed been boring clean holes.... right in our *****... My 2009, my 2011, my 2014, my 2016, and now my 2017. Compensator, compensator, hydraulic clutch, coolant loss, oil leak, tranny migration.

Default Sealed Side Cover

Some time ago on this thread I showed you all a side cover that I had machined to take a seal.

I recently had a nut machined down to give the seal a surface to run on.

Default Sealed Side Cover

So tonight I decided to do a mock-up on a transmission I had in the garage. I removed the stock nut and installed the nut I had machined.

I installed the side cover.

I took a few measurements. It appears I could have about .0625" machined off the width of the nut and still have plenty in the seal.

The actuator has clearance. I'm not sure how far the clutch pushrod extends through the mainshaft, but I now have confidence this is going to work.

Unfortunately, mine has been back at the dealers for weeks waiting for them to work some sort of new magic trick on it........ again. Might not ever get that bike back or ride it again. This game is coming to a quick end here REAL soon man!
