Dealer advised transmission had lost over 3/4 of its fluid into the primary. In talks now with the general manager. This is only the second bike out of hundreds this dealer who has numerous locations has sold that has had this issue. Harley was called and advised no fix at this time.

Man so sorry to hear that. It is heartening to hear only few bikes are affected but I really hope your situation gets squared away. Sounds like you have a real stand up dealer!

I guess I'm lucky, 5k on the current oil in the trans and it's still clean as day I put it in and right at the X mark.

I thought I read that MoCo had a cure and had sent a dude to a dealership to apply said fix and it worked.

Maybe I'm daft.

Haven't heard of a fix yet. Just the TB they put out about a month or so ago advising dealerships to refill and check after 1k miles.

I have a 2017 Road glide Ultra I bought in May 17, I had my local Harley dealer install stage 1 and 2 components at 600 miles on the odometer, before I hit 5000 miles I informed dealer the tranny fluid was going down, I had the dealer perform the 5000 mile service and it was documented as having fluid transfer, a little over 7000 now and every 500 miles I lost 4 or more ounces. MOCO sent out a rep today 1/24/18 and they installed a flinger of some sorts in the bike and are test driving it now to see if it stopped the transfer, this is supposedly only the 2nd bike sold at the dealer having this problem.

No,your not daft.OP that started this thread was the person who started another thread in which he explains what was done to another members bike"StevenL808" by a HD rep.and that member feels his transfer problem may be cured.

Can't blame anyone for being confused on this thread. In the last year or so I've read all 262 pages and I forget who said what about what lol. I just keep coming back hoping the MOCO or some other fine person finds the fix for those affected.

yeah, wasn't long after I saw what was transpiring with it, it became painfully obvious this thread didn't need any spin offs
