Went into the local Harley dealership here in S. Florida for a test ride on a 2017 Road Glide. After a short ride I determined I did not care for it. Returning to Harley, I advised the sales person I was not interested at that time. After questioning what I was riding, I advised him it was a 2015 Limited with 26000 miles. He started spouting prices. Before I knew It, I was buying a 2017 Limited Black and Silver. I could not resist the deal. Too make thing's worst my friend with me also traded in his 2013 Ultra for a Blue and Silver Limited. He advised me he would not go and look at puppies with me......
I now have 300 miles on the bike and impressed with ride and power even keeping it under 3000 RPM"s. I hope I come to like it as much as my 2015, which I still miss. Additionally, I was telling a friend of our buying two new bikes. Well, he went down same day and bought one also. I hope they hold up well, or I will have to listen to these guy's for ever. Just kidding! Have been riding Harley's for a long time and it seems too me the quality is constantly improving.
Same story here traded in my 15 Limited a great bike with 37K miles on it for a M8 CVO Limited came home went back next day traded in wife's 15 Limited Low for a M8 CVO SG. Life is too short not to enjoy it.
so you did not care for it, but bought one anyway? How good of a deal was it? Did they give you high dollar for your trade or low dollar amount on the M8? Wonder if I should try and trade my RGS for a Limited as I'm looking for more storage and better ride along with wet heads. You got me thinking....

similar here..traded my 15 RK with 20K miles for my 17 RK..few days later my wife traded her 2012 Tri Glide with 30K miles for a 2017 Freewheeler..love these new Harleys
I liked the bike! However, the Road glide was not a good fit as I am 78 years old and the GPS sitting further forward was more difficult too see. Additionally, the handle bars being higher are tough on the Carpal in my wrists. I have decided you have too be strong to get old, it's not for the weak. So, Electra Glide Limited was a better option for me. In reference too the trade-in cost. The deal we got at Treasure Coast Harley was so good, we could not turn down the offer. I wonder if they are clearing out the 2017 models too make room for the 2018 bikes.
great story.. always seems to happen with me too. Every time I walk into that place I either come out with a new bike or tons of accessories for the old bike. In the last three years I have purchased three bikes. (a 14 sportster for the wife, 16 breakout and 17 SGS for me) No wonder our local HOG chapter holds their monthly meetings there. Congrats and welcome to the m8 family!
the M8 just keeps getting better every time you ride it.
You know, that statement is more true than you know. Today I found out that my 17 SGS is rock solid stable at 100mph, as well as smooth with plenty left..........
