That's a Good point !🤔 I really just need to take it all in. I've been planning this for a while, even got a negotiating plan together & make an offer to 6 or 7 dealers . I'm probably gonna get the 2018 , I sure hope these issues will be addressed , it's the 115 Anniversary also !
All the reason to get a 17 or wait because if you are expecting a great deal on an anniversary model it wont happen.
My observation....those who have a M8 would tell you to get one for all the pros discussed and those who do not have a M8 will tell you to wait like they have...
Life is a risk, if you need a new scoot get one or pick something else. If your happy on your current scoot then keep the wind in your face and the shinny side up.
If you don't actually own a 2017 with an M8 you opinion is worthless. I actually own a 2017 and ride it EVERYDAY as a daily rider rain or shine and it's the best dam bike Harley has made. It's funny reading these posts of guys who don't actually own an M8 spouting their bulshit of internet rumors, it's about as valuable as a asnxgxt, you know the rest. Try to keep the jealousy intact, you don't need to convince everyone the 103 is the best motor or 1st year blah blah blah. If your considering buying the Milwaukee 8 ask someone who actually owns one and rides one, not some internet poser repeating rumors of dumping this or bulshit that it's laughable. Before anyone spouts off, let's hear if you A own a Harley and b own a Milwaukee 8.

Ive had mine for 7 months (9500km) with zero issues and 100% satisfaction. My King is head and shoulders better for me than my old Softail, and the M8 motor runs rings around the 103 TC in every way you slice it. More grunt, less driveline noise, ease of operation.
When I decided to get a King I knew it had to be a M8 after riding it back to back with a 103 - it's a no brainer. Best bike I've ever owned by far.

Amen Dan, I had my 2015 King dialed in with stage 1 and Progressive suspension and other goodies..before the M8 came out I thought I'd be in love with that bike for many many years..then it happened..rode the 17 King..2015 was gone in a week and replaced with Laguna Orange King and ecstatic I did the swap..my buddy has the red King too and it's a fantastic paint job

Yes I was the same with my 2015 Softail, never thought we'd part. That's how good the M8 is in my book. Let's hope the Motot Co. don't come out with a new engine in a King anytime soon, or we're both broke!
