Yes and the thing that i was told by my dealer is they can't see what the MoCo is looking at or doing when they are remotely hooked up to my bike. He just knows after the third time in the factory is really looking at my bikes computer.

I have been one of the unfortunate ones who are having oil light problems. First time was at 1450 miles. Then the next time was at 1800. And now its back at 2250 miles. It has pressure when checking with manual gauge. They have replaced the sensor, the BCM and still keeps coming on. We are not reallly trusting it like my others. So i for one am not gonna do anything to jeopardize the warranties of the bike.

Even Bob at Fuelmoto is saying leave it along till all is fixed and some miles on it. He worked for Harley for 15 years and knows what they can do. Said in past they really didn't care but now is different story.

When it can be trusted and this oil thing is past I'm heading to Fuelmoto for cam header and tune. But not until fixed

My dealer never gave me any problems over my power vision on my last bike. An i will soon be adding one to my street glide. To be honest they use power visions on there dyno themselfs. They actually suggest the dang thing. But i know every dealer is different. I will say this the PV made such a huge improvement on my last bike after stage 1 i dont care what anybodys says. After i add a stage 1 to my new street glide it will have a powervision regardless. Granted im still trying to get my bike broke in so i havent jumped the gun yet. But as soon as i log a couple thousand miles with no issues you can bet your rear im throwing stage 1 and a power vision on it. Bottom line is it does make your bike run better. Even a stock bike it will reduce some of the heat and you should be able to feel the difference once flashed. As suggested save the stock tune of course incase u ever need to go back. Not to mention if there looking that hard to void your warrenty chances are your already screwed. The PV will just give them a excuse. An i would be hunting another dealer if they ever gave me any crap about it. An it wasnt the stahe 1 and PV fault for the breakdown. Talked to bob yesterday about adding some slip ons to my m8 now and then after break in im gonna add the header and pv. Life is too short not to enjoy it. And if you want a stage 1 or beyond a good tuner like the pv is a must. Its a great product and they do there homework at FM.

The reason the dealers suggest and use the vision to tune now is because the SEPST will not allow them to fully tune the bike the way it should be. They will tune with the SEPST but prefer the vision. At least the ones around here do.

The dealers never gave a stink about anything that I had done on previous bikes either. But like what has been stated it's not the dealers it's Harley. The attitude around my area is "buy it here and we will take care of you" but that doesn't always fly on the road at a different dealer.

Trust me I will have a vision married to my ECM the day after my warranty is up.

An while some are worried about voiding a 2 year warrenty im worried about longitivity of my bike. An a properly tuned bike is a must in my book after stage 1. If you want it to last and run at its best. Sure it will prolly run for 2 years while the warrenty is still intact. But i want my bike to last alot longer then 2 years so im gonna tune my bike if i go stage 1.
Same as i would rejet my carb if i owned a carb bike and changed pipes, intake, etc.
The m8s are different motors but it is still a epa compliant machine when it arrives at the dealer. Which results in a lean condition and sub par preformance.

Take this from someone that works for Harley-Davidson that it does in fact leave a footprint in the computer.

The service manager at the stealer I go to said they are training there techs to use the PV. He went on to say that they can't see it. Just another fish in the pond.

I suppose it depends on what your definition of "seeing the footprint" is. Both the dealer and HD can certainly see if changes or revisions have been made to the bike's map. If the ecm has any changes from the factory map and there's no record of the owner purchasing a SE Pro Street tuner or mating it to that bike, THEN the only way for those changes to have been made to the bike is with a non-approved tuner.

OTOH, IF there is a record of a SE Pro Street Tuner being purchased and mated to the bike, THEN there's no way to determine if the changes were NOT made by the SE Pro Street Tuner.
