This pic is of my '14 Limited. I just added the heat deflectors to my '17 Road King. Same exact part number. Looking at the '17, I see absolutely no difference in how it mounts.
Our crotch cooler will work fine for you they are made from leather and will allow you to adjust the backrest. They are easy to install and will block the heat that I can promise .. If you have any questions just let us know .
Where are theae leather crotch coolers on the net? New here. Just bought 17 RG and its is ctazy hot and only 79 outside...regretting.
the cool flow fan kit comes with right side mid frame deflector..I have a RK with adjustable backrest so can't fit a deflector on that side..heat hasn't bother me enough to go with the kit
I'm not sure how the adjustable back rest would interfere with the mid frame deflectors other than the adjuster handle which I'm sure you could re-locate.
The mid frame deflectors make a HUGE difference, more so than the fan imo and I have all of it. Mid-frame, cool flow and the oil cooler.
BTW there are 2 different sets of mid frame deflectors, 1 set works with the cool flow (the right side is shorter), 1 set won't work with the cool flow.
Look up HD adjustable riders backrest on their parts website and click on installation guide and it will tell you how to install lever and bracket with mid frame deflectors.I do like the idea of mounting lever in the deflector itself.
