Ha! Those wide glides are sweet. I'd be pretty stoked if it was carb myself. My '05 Deluxe was carb and it was bullet proof. Plus you could adjust it with a screw driver. Never had an EFI issue, but '09 was my first EFI. Runs good, but not easy to make changes...plus idles a bit high imo. Hope it's a good deal.

I'm curious how many Milwaukee 8 owners would do things differently, knowing then what you know now. If H-D offered you all of your cash back, would you take it and move to something else? A different engine or brand, not a 2018.
I know that a lot of owners have had issues and I wonder how many people would like to just take their marbles and go home, assuming they could get all their marbles back. (some people have lost theirs over M8 "idiosyncrasies")

So, I would not move to a different brand or engine. I still have two twin cams. The M8 is a better engine.

Put 1000 miles on my 17 RGS that I got three weeks ago. It's perfect so far with no issues. When brand new the same day I got it home I checked all fluids and the trans was low at the add mark right from the factory. Added 3 ounces of oil and it has not moved at all for the whole 1000 miles. Will do my own first service and will measure all oils accurately. Have been keeping the revs below 4K so far but see no reason for higher revs as the sweet spot seems to be between 3 and 3.5k. The M8 is an amazing engine.
