Do you happen to know what size baffles are in the Grand Nationals?

2.25, unwrapped baffles. The db killers reduce the outlet to 1.5

My research was looking for the best flow with the least increase in sound, I think I may be leaving a little power with the stock CVO mufflers. This is not the first time I have over thought the power over sound game. I was informed the Grand Nationals with the DB killer would be quieter without any low end loss, it does make sense as the G/N's are 4" bodies and the MK45"s are 4.5", although the 45 baffles are wrapped. With any kind of riding still 2 1/2 months away I should have time to experiment with the baffles and wraps. Thank you sixgun for the pics.

Not to confuse, the pic I posted is the db killer, not the baffle. here is a shot of the muffler without the db killer in place.

I have never run the db killers, but I put them in last night and will run them today and see how they affect performance. For sure the sound is way better without them,so there is that struggle.

Thanks ...I'm assuming the MK 45's are the usual 2.5" baffles then, same as my Rinehart Motopro's.

picked up the Grand Nationals today, disassembled to examine baffles, had some packing left from my last fullsac install. Wrapped the baffles and reinstalled with the DB killers and installed on bike. The sound is slightly louder than the stock CVO mufflers at idle but louder at higher rpm's. No testing or riding until later Spring. So far I like them.

My bike is currently at the shop getting new bars. Considering a stage II with a 20% of parts and labor deal going on right now. They suggested to me the S and S Mk45's. My concern is that when I had a V and H duel exhaust on my Heritage with the quiet baffles installed, the drone on long rides started to get to me. I want to avoid repeating that mistake on this bike. I would like to know your opinion on the 45's in that respect (droan). Thanks

Seen somewhere Jamie recommend Grand Nationals with their XXX headers for bigger motor builds, so you got room to grow

I am running the 45's on my 17 RKS. No droning and a nice sound to them. Good quality cans IMO.
