As BigRed said, you have a warranty. Ride it. At least through your warranty period, then get rid of it.

Nothing like taking a horrific bath on a new Harley. There are thousands of those examples all the world.

i have a stage three and no problems. If you were to ride it I think you may change your tune on was it worth it or not. You make it sound like all bikes are sumping or if you get a stage three or four your guaranteed to have sumping. Your comments are grossly uninformed. I know it’s your opinion but it is a very uninformed opinion. If all you read are these “sky is falling” threads I can see how you may think that but remember this is only a small fraction of the satisfied owners that have not had any problems. I feel for any of my Harley brothers that are having problems but it is a small fraction of the overall group. Remember 90% unhappy owners will speak out but only 10% satisfied owners will speak out. The happy folks are out riding instead of hanging out on a forum. Think I will head on out as well. Good riding!

I have to agree -- the Stage II is a whole lot of fun, and hasn't caused any sumping. I think riding style and RPM range and load are more likely to cause sumping than the Stage of the engine (although, as said before, those with III and IV are probably more likely to be riding higher in the RPM range and harder than the rest of us, just because all the power is up in those higher RPM ranges).

I can certainly see one questioning the value of a Stage III or IV, when compared to something like the FuelMoto or other aftermarket big bore kits. But there's no way to use one of those and retain your warranty, and with the sumping and transfer issues that get discussed here, I decided the warranty was worth retaining and I extended it for another four years on top of that. If my bike does develop sumping anytime in the next six years, I should be covered. Until then, I'm having a blast on a Torque cam Stage II.

Frankly anyone with a staged motor is probably itching to kick it. A smart easy breaking is going to set those rings and avoid many problems. Even after complete break in I do not plan to push it over 5 grand and since I ride one up on the Georgia back roads that is reasonable for me. If I wanted to go aftermarket there are several choices to get you all the way up to 124 ci. But the question about all this power is it streetable. Power is fun but if you cant use it very often it isn’t really worth the expense.

Aww Cooky. It’s obvious English is not his first language. If I had to type in French or German I may be asking how to milk my cow instead of about a Harley oil pump.

Stage 3 here with no epa parts 8,000 miles, built prior to 10/10/2017, driven hard and 0 sumping issues. Best HD touring bike I have owned to date.

See there ya go. There are folks out there having no problems. If you would, tell us how you ride. Folks and HD are saying if your ride “hard” long runs over 5K rpms and pulls with heavy loads tend to enhance sumping. Just curious as to your riding habits.
