Default Quick PV question

Just picked up a PV for my 17 RG and am wanting to know if the display has to be connected while running auto tune.
I would assume it does, but can’t find anywhere that states one way or the other

thanks in advance

Yes, you'll need to plug in the PV and attach it to the bike somehow. You can put it in your pocket if you need to. There's plenty of youtube videos about how to get into autotune, then you just need to take off and ride a mix of city and highway to try and auto populate the A/F tables.

Thank you for the info. I think I'll just go ahead and run the cable up through the wire trough under the tank, that way I have it whenever I need it .

I used velcro temporarily to the gas door to do my autotune. Worked out just fine.

Hell, I kept mine mounted on the left hand bar - I liked having it for the data screens, gauges, clearing DTCs, etc.

I went ahead and pulled the tank and ran the cable up through the tray, going to keep it on the bars for a while so I can play with it a bit. Did y'all use the included visor? It looks pretty cheesy and don't know if it's necessary.
