Hi all, have any of you heard that there is a problem with the 'regulators' on the 'Milwaukee 8' motorcycles, it is what i have heard thru t'grapevine . Mine has been back in Dealers since July 6th and still waiting for one to arrive, it's still under warranty as only bought it last year. T.I.A.
Everything has a failure rate. But, I have not heard of a systemic issue. Just because you might bet he u;fortunate one to have a failure doesn’t mean it’s a major issue, listen to a different grapevine.

how did you know it was going bad? I think mine is not keeping charge on battery
Hi Thudux,
I went to check over my bike the night before i would be off to a rally , i just fired it up, and on looking at the dials i noticed the amp meter was hitting 16 amps when it should be at around 14 amps, so if i had gone to the rally the chances were that the battery would've fried up on me probably out in the middle of nowhere.
I had my voltage regulator replaced about 3 months ago. The gauge was pinned at 16 amps. I brought it in to the dealer to be checked out. He said it was at 14.7 amps and that was still in the normal range. I showed him a picture of an amp meter on my bike at 15.57 amps. He smiled, asked me to forward him the picture and replaced it under warranty.
