Hello,
I downloaded the Stage 1 map then immediately did an autotune run for about 25 minutes. I then had the tuner do the autotune and I again did another 25 minute or so run. When I returned I once again let the software make the adjustments, unhooked everything and I was good to go. I had the Street Cannons on first and thought all was well, then after the bike was broke-in and I twisted on it I realized that over 3,500 it was flat. After the auto-tune it was like night a day diffrence. Bike pulls fine to redline now.
Well the 40 mpg posts threw me over the edge and I ordered the Heavy Breather and Street Tuner, so I will let you know after I install the Breather and run some laps with the Tuner.
I average 45 mpg and consistently fill up at the 200 mile mark with my Stage I. I don't beat up on the bike but I ride it somewhat aggressively.
Mpg is my last concern now. I've tried for a year to ride an entire tank at 55 mpg. I just can't do it. I have a bad habit of rolling that throttle through the curves, hammering it getting on the freeway and WIDE OPEN throttle rolls every time I pass a semi. I'll never see 50 mpg.
My go to tuner guy had to dyno two separate runs with the HD street tuner to get mine sweet spotted after the stage one hi flow AC and street cannon. Does your bike now warm idle at 950 or is it still at 850 or so? He also said that the canned tune that I initially loaded from online was corrupt and he started again from scratch.
My stage one equipped RGU with SC mufflers and air breather, auto tuned, gets 42 mpg at anything under 80. Above 80 it drops to 36 mpg. That is running the 10% ethanol blend available in my area. If I can find non-blended gas, I can get 48 mpg keeping it under 80.
