Default Coolant Leak when temps drop

My 2017 FHLTKL leaks a little coolant fluid when temps drop below about 50 degrees. It doesn't leak when warmed up. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this

Possibly a hose clamp just loose enough that when it get colder, the hose is a tad stiffer and doesnt seal as well.

No leaks on my 2018 RGU at any temp. However, I have seen small dribbles of coolant from some other motorcycles, out of the pump "weep hole" in cooler temps as the engine sits overnight and cools down.

First thing you will want to do is locate the source of the leak. Whether it is coming from the pump, or a hose fitting, etc. Once you have located the source of leak, then you can figure out what to do about it.

It’s a cold-flow leak, check your clamps. Does Harley use constant tension or screw clamp? Screw clamps are prone to this.

There was a recall or some kind of hose clamp check back in 17 when i got my mine ride had mine checked they were fine. I believe the factory got a bad bunch of clamps that had to be replaced.

Your bike isn't liquid cooled so the coolant leak wouldn't apply to your bike.
Your bike probably had the recall like other 2017 oil cooled touring bikes had for the clamps near the oil cooler.

Default 2017 M8 Coolant Leak at hose below Filler Cap

2017 Ultra Limited, FLHTK, Milwaukee 8 at 17400 miles - Check Engine Light and Engine Coolant Temperature Light came on. Fault Code for ECM - P1019 (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor) and Pn 001351-01. On a 45 degree day I rode the bike a mile and found coolant leaking from the hose connection just below the filler cap. I could easily turn the plastic connector the coolant cap is attached to, inside the hose. The coolant hose clamp is not holding and coolant is leaking out.

Had a leak on my 21 RGL after about 7k miles, was at the filler cap hose at the cap and radiator as the clamps were very loose. I repaired my own with a couple screw clamps and a piece of hose from the local NAPA store.
