Hey Guys,
On Street Glide Nation group on Facebook I posted up about pulling the trigger soon on the Zippers Red Shift 468 cam. A regular on the site told me to checkout the Rocket 444 cam. Is there anyone on here that has any experience with this cam? http://www.rocketcams.com/m8cam-specs.html_1
The numbers look better than the RS 468 but I dont have any knowledge about any real world experience.
Chuck
I ran the 574 in my twin cam. It was a great cam. The dyno sheet on the 444 looks good. Chris Rivas has been doing cams for a long time. If you are close enough to have Chris tune it Id say go for it. Can you get a base map for his cam? Let us know what you do.

I just installed the Thunder Max tuner so the chances are high that he or one of his customers has a base tune. I can also check the Thunder Max website. I would just need to gather all the parts in the 468 kit which does make the the 468 appealing as there is probably a discount.
Cant help you with the real life experience, but the numbers do look good.
Agree but dont know what his target air fuel, timing or octane of fuel was in the tune, Im sure he was on the edge with him holding those records hes use to being on the edge.... I dont know just thinking out loud...

Just remember, and I'm not saying he did, you can cheat the dyno. You have that one chart on his 444 and it's his chart. There are numerous charts on the RS468 and they are close in numbers. Like you, I would like to see some dyno charts from other tuners. One thing the cam does seem to do is extend the torque into the higher rpm so that it converts to horsepower. That is something I haven't seen too much with the M8. Would have been nice to have had this cam last year when we were testing cams.

Yes, thanks for doing the tests! The good news is that its Winter here in York PA and I cant ride at the moment... hopefully someone has some real world experience and posts up.

Not only winter, you have another severe storm coming or maybe already there. Be safe.
Hey there, I would go with what $tonecold said... There are 12 cams out there that were fully tested and brought in some really nice numbers. I would go with the known quanity…. Just my opinion. Good luck, CSM-H
