Tried Utah Harley since seeing their name recently and was very pleased. Over the other online discount part dealers out there I really liked seeing the 6-7 shipping options I could choose from without having to call specifically for shipping faster then the flat rate speed many offer.
Confirmed. Checked parts prices for things I ordered just before they shut down.
They're about 5% higher.
Makes it easier to hit the free shipping threshold and still cheaper than my local dealer.
That said, proceed with caution. Protect your purchase by paying with a method that will protect you in case things turn south again. Or avoid them altogether...
They don't do a 20% discount anymore. Neither does Surdyke on the items I checked. It seems that their prices even vary by product.
So do a double check on the % off pricing to make sure you are getting what you "thought" you were getting.
I don't know if the standard 20% discount for online dealers is there anymore. It's been a while since I ordered anything. Back then, a couple of years ago, Hales HD in Ohio gave a straight 20% off everything and free shipping on $100 or more.
The discount hasn't been a standard 20% for quite a while. When ordering online, I always cross-shopped the big three (NewCastle, Surdyke, and Boardtracker). Their prices were almost always different, sometimes significantly so. Surdyke has been the most consistent, and NewCastle almost always has the lowest prices but they don't offer free shipping so the total cost was always higher with NewCastle.
