My dealer took it back and had my back after months of downtime replacing jugs and pistons.
I ran away from the 18 as fast as possible.
My dealer who has fabulous mechanics of which i have a 30 year relationship with was in agreement that the bike needed to be sent back. Tech representatives were sent several times.
They said keep replacing the jugs and pistons.
Unfortunately that never worked. At this point i dont care what it was. Im glad its out of my life.
That is EXACTLY how I felt. Glad to have my sumper out of my life but didnt trust the 19s to make the plunge again. Hopefully that sentiment can be reversed in about a month with the launch if the 2020s. Whether its Harleys 2020 touring bike is yet to be seen.

Just to follow up... I got into my Thundermax tuner software last night to read my head temps. I did not have a temp over 340 degrees where as before the S&S oil pump, they were hitting 420s + regularly.
Had a **** ton of work done to my 2018 SG CVO (in the signature) a month ago after sumping regularly through the first 7,000 miles. Just wanted to throw it out there that since I've upgraded everything to S&S & Red-shift and got rid of that screamin eagle garbage, I've put 2,500 hard miles on my bike and it has yet to sump. I ride hard, at high RPMS and stroke 4 - 5 gears from a red light daily. Coincidence that I'm no longer sumping oil, burning oil and having head temperatures at 400 degrees? Maybe.... maybe not - but I wanted to share nonetheless.
What cylinders and pistons did you use? Just sumped my 19RGS on the home from dealer installing primary vent kit. I told them I had a possible sumping issue and was using more than 1 qt every 1000 mile, so the did a leak down and compression test. They assured me I was not burning oil with 4 percent leakage and 175 cranking compression.

Pull your crank sensor with the bike upright and hot and measure what comes out, that will answer your sumping question.

Wasn't your question but you said possible using 1 quart every 1k miles, pull you crank sensor and the answer to that may be there, if you are sumping you are not using oil, it's in the crank so if you keep adding oil thinking its low you are way over filling it. Just something to check, I pulled 60 ounces out of mine, roughly 2 quarts!
